Waste As a Resource
Proud to be Remakers
In a world where one persons trash is another persons treasure, i'd argue the first person wasn't thinking creatively enough about the trash.
Two Brothers, One Big Idea
Replas started in Ballarat in 1991, founded by two brothers who saw the potential in plastic waste when most of the world was still throwing it in the bin. Over three decades later, we’re Australia’s leading mixed recycled plastic manufacturer — producing over 200 products and supplying councils, developers and community groups across Australia and New Zealand.
We manufacture everything locally, using Australian-sourced waste plastic. That means local jobs, local materials and a product that gives back to the same communities it comes from.
Driving the Circular Economy Since Before It Had a Name
Long before ‘circular economy’ became a buzzword, Replas was already doing it. We collect waste plastic from wheelie bins, car bumpers, and industrial offcuts, and remanufacture it into products that serve communities for decades.
We partner with social enterprises, councils and waste collectors across Australia to build supply chains that are good for the environment and create meaningful employment for people with different abilities. Every tonne of plastic we process is a tonne that doesn’t go to landfill.
THE HISTORY OF REPLAS
From humble beginnings in Ballarat, to over thirty years of being Australian leaders in the recycled plastic manufacturing industry.

Australian Made
Every Replas product is manufactured right here in Australia, using plastic waste collected from Aussie homes and businesses. When you buy Replas, you're supporting local industry and keeping plastic out of landfills.
Long Lasting
Our recycled plastic products are built to outlast timber and steel alternatives. They won't rot, rust, crack or warp, and with a track record stretching back to 1991, we've got the installations to prove it.
Made From Australian Waste
Each product contains a minimum of 85% recycled plastic sourced locally. That means every purchase actively diverts post-consumer and industrial plastic from landfill and gives it a useful second life.
Cost Effective
Recycled plastic delivers better value over its lifetime than timber, steel or concrete alternatives. No maintenance costs, no replacement cycles, no surprises: just a product that keeps performing year after year.
Easy To Install
Replas products are designed for straightforward installation with standard tools and fixings. Clear technical specifications and support from our team mean your project moves without unnecessary delays.
Environmentally Friendly
Choosing recycled plastic reduces demand for virgin materials, lowers carbon emissions associated with production and keeps problematic plastic out of the waste stream. It's a practical choice with a measurable environmental benefit.
Termite Resistant
Unlike timber, recycled plastic offers no food source for termites or other pests. That makes it an ideal material for outdoor furniture, fencing, decking and civil applications in pest-prone environments across Australia.
Low Maintenance
No painting, sealing, staining or treating required. Recycled plastic holds its colour and structural integrity year after year, making it the lowest-effort option for parks, councils and public spaces.
